Air India ExpressThe low-cost airline Air India Express operates services to the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It’s a part of Air India. Founded in 2004, Air India Express started operations on April 29th, 2005. Its first flight flew from Thiruvananthapuram to Abu Dhabi. Air India Express has also plans for expansion into Europe and American market very soon. Air India Express’ hubs are Trivandrum International Airport, Calicut International Airport and Cochin International Airport. Its main focus cities are Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai The headquarters of Air India Express is located at Mumbai in an Indian state of Maharashtra. Of late, Air India Express has started operations to Bahrain. It will increase the number of Air India booking between Bahrain and India from Seven to 11 a week. Fares will be 20% cheaper than the current ticket fares. Air India Express flies 13 times a week from Abu Dhabi to four Indian cities – Kochi, Kozhikode, Thriuvananthapuram and Mangalore.
Air India Express runs no-frill service. It does not serve any complimentary meal service to its passengers. However its passengers can buy food and other palatable items such as sandwiches, cookies, nuts and soft drinks onboard. Mineral water is offered to passengers free of charge.
